Wedding Guidelines:
We have about 4 to 6 weddings per year using our facilities in 4 to 6 different ways. We offer the flexibility of using any one of our services or everything you need. We try to provide an opportunity to minimize the extra stress involved in planning this special event by being able to have everything done for you at our facility.
Weddings may be performed in the house with the ceremony being performed at the bottom of the staircase, on the wrap-around porch, in the banquet hall or on the lawn.
The charge for use of the lawn or wrap-around porch is a $150 minimum and includes seating for up to 100 people. Additional charges will be in segments of $25 or 25 people. The charges cover only the space requested and doesn't include use of any other part of the house or grounds. A pedestal for the ceremony and a 5 foot wide white cloth for the bridal procession to the altar are also included. This is the least expensive alternative. Additional considerations might be practical, such as use of the house guest bathrooms, $50 additional or rental of one of the bedrooms for dressing, just prior and following the wedding, $40 additional. Rehearsal set-up, chairs, lighting, $25 additional.
The charge for the use of the banquet hall is also a $150 minimum and includes seating for up to 100 people (275 Maximum). For additional charges refer to banquet guidelines. The charges cover set up for a wedding or reception. Set up for both is an additional $50.
The charge for use of the house, for wedding attendance up to 100 people, is $200. This includes use of the staircase, hallway, living room with seating for immediate family only, and house guest bathrooms. The additional wedding personnel can view, standing in the hall and living room. The charges don't include use of the dining area. A pedestal and arch are provided for the ceremony. The charge for unlimited use of the house is $500. This includes use of the staircase, hallway, living room, dining room, house guest bath rooms, porches, grounds, and banquet hall.
In addition to providing use of our facilities, we also provide catering for the bridal luncheon, rehearsal dinner, and reception individually or in total. We offer a variety of sit-down dinners or hors d'oeuvres, or quoting on your own menu. For the rehearsal dinner, we offer a custom groom's cake at no additional charge. And for the reception, we offer a wedding cake with fresh flowers to match the bride's colors, at no additional cost, if we cater. Flowers, linens, table settings, and custom decorations are available at additional cost to be determined.
Use of the bedrooms (is extra) based on the standard room rates of $75 for double occupancy, except for the Drayton Library which is $110, and Key West which is $90 and $18 for each additional person over 5 yrs. old.
